Niko Ferreira

Assistant Coach/CEO & Founder of JEDI BLUE

Born and raised in New Jersey, I began my martial arts journey at 16 years old under the guidance of Edson Carvalho, building a strong foundation in discipline, technique, and work ethic. I later joined the United States Marine Corps, which brought me to North Carolina—where I’ve continued to live, train, and serve my community.

I am currently a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Carlos Canales at Pura Vida Martial Arts, and I actively serve as a law enforcement officer. My martial arts background includes Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Wrestling, with competition experience across multiple combat sports disciplines.

With several years of coaching experience, I am passionate about developing others—both on and off the mats. Through JEDI BLUE, my goal is to instill confidence, resilience, and purpose in those we serve, while honouring the legacy and values that this organization represents.
