ABOUT US
MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING THAT
SERVES THE COMMUNITY
The Joshua Eyer Development Institute (JEDI BLUE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening those who serve our communities by providing free, high-quality martial arts training to first responders, veterans & their families.
Named in honor of Officer Joshua Eyer of Charlotte, North Carolina, JEDI BLUE was founded on the belief that service, discipline, and resilience deserve to be supported—both on and off duty. Our programs are designed to empower participants physically, mentally, and emotionally, fostering confidence, accountability, and community through structured martial arts instruction.
JEDI BLUE offers no-cost training in disciplines including MMA, wrestling, boxing, and foundational martial arts. Our programs serve:
- First responders and veterans
- Children of first responders and veterans (ages 7–21)
At JEDI BLUE, we believe financial barriers should never prevent access to personal development, self-defense, or community connection. Every program we offer is provided at absolutely no cost to participants.
Our mission is simple: to honor service, build resilience, and develop stronger individuals and communities—one class at a time.
Our Proud Partner (Pura Vida Martial Arts)
We are proud to announce our official partnership with Pura Vida Martial Arts, the new home of Jedi Blue.
This collaboration marks an exciting step forward, bringing our community together in a dedicated space focused on growth, discipline, and excellence. Through this partnership, we aim to provide an enhanced training environment and expanded opportunities for all members.
